Goodbye English Blog

Today I want to talk about the activities that I´m doing all this semester in the English class, this blog! I think that this way to learn English is very original and funny, but sometimes I fell a little stupid making comments to other people about their blogs jaja.

It is a really good way to learn to write in English, because we are like one time a week making texts with a lot of words. And we try to make it good to the mark and because we don´t want to show a bad post to our classmates. It is very didactic and entertaining.

The Blog help me a lot, because to me is difficult to write in English and with this weekly sessions I´m better, or so I think. And a little part of me is sad about that the “blog´s class” finally end.

About the process in general I liked some post that posted some classmates that are really funny or interesting. Other think that I like is that in the blog I can talk about one theme how I want, it hasn´t a lot of rules like the most written works that normally are in the English classes. 

The food ♥

 

Today I want to speak about the importance of the food in my life. I think that eat a very elemental thing in my life. When I´m hungry I will be very angry still I eat. I like every type of food: salty, from any culture, with spices or without it, fruits, vegetables, meat, simple, produced, sweet (the best) and more. There are only few thing that I don´t like very much, for example: eggplant and the very spicy things. I really prefer the healthy food than fast food.

Now that I live without my parents I´m learning to cook a lot of things. Before I come to Santiago I can´t cook anything because in my family all make very delicious food, so is not necessary that I learn to cook. But now I try to learn a lot of different types of foods to make.

All my family likes to cook and they are like experts in that, except my mom and me. My grandfather is the best cook that I know. Whenever I go to Curico to see my Grandparents, my grandpa makes me gnocchi’s, it is awesome.  

Website

I think that nowadays the websites that write about news are very important because now fast all people don’t buy the newspaper. That is very sad but is one of the consequences the technologies evolution. One site that is very funny and interesting to visited is the http://theclinic.cl/ where are a lot of opportunities about things to see.

The Clinic is a newspaper where the news are written with leftist tendencies, is like a satire of the news that happened and makes humor about the political. The newspaper has a website where are other options then seeing news, but this is independent from the magazine. The other options to see in the site are: poder, Chilean news, webeo, columnas y entrevistas, la calle, mundo al instante, verde and cultura.  

I don’t see this website often; only when I remember that it exists like today. I like this site because is very funny to visit it and help to have other view about the things that happen in the country.  In other side it has a lot of possibilities to see.

Medias

Nowadays the news are basically about crime or entertainment, things that attract people but don´t inform well about what really happens in Chile. That is very bad because we are living in a lie.

If we talk about the international news it is awful. I think that the most Chileans don´t know or only know a little about other countries cultures and the important things that happens there.

But it happens in a lot of countries like the USA, where they have only general information about other countries.  It is like the roommate of Chimmanda Adichie that thinks that Nigeria is a very underdeveloped country where the people don´t have a possible to emerge and have bad education.  

It is very important to know about other cultures and what happen in other countries, because we don’t have to live in a bubble, and we can take for our own country development the example of other countriesso that we don´t make the same mistakes.

Photo

My favorite photo is the one where I’m in Florence with two friends; Rosario and Florencia. This is a very important photo for me because after this travel I went to live in another city. Not more in Viña del Mar where my friends for all my life were. I traveled with three friends (Catalina, Rosario and Florencia) around Europe because an exchange from the school to Germany. After the travel I went to live in Puerto Varas, where all is gone we new. I really miss my old friends.

I think this photo is beautiful and very funny. It has an awesome background, with the Arno lake and a lot of colorful houses. We are all very happy and laughing. After this photo we went to an ice cream store that is in front of the place where we took the photo. I don’t really remember the flavor of the ice cream that I ate but I remind that it was very expensive.    

Technology

I’m not a big lover of the technologies but if I need to choose a gadget that is important for me it would be my phone. My cell phone was a gift from my dad, it is a Samsung mini 2, white, it have a very ugly protector and is a little broken in the outside. I don’t use my mobile phone all time, really, I have my periods. Sometimes I use it a lot and in other occasions I almost don’t see it. I got my phone the past year, I´m very clueless so I hope that I can have it a lot of time more. It is very useful because there I can call my contacts, use whatsapp, take photos, see the time or see internet pages. It is a good way to be informed too.

Life would be very difficult if I didn’t have my mobile because I´m accustomed to it. And it could be dangerous if I don’t bring my phone with me, because in case of emergency it would be necessary. And it is very practical for the daily life.

My vacation

My last vacation was very nice. At the beginning of my vacation I went to the south, between Osorno and Puerto Varas, next to Puerto Octay with my sister Romina. To visit my mother , my little brother and my big sister. There, I stayed for three weeks, I spent Christmas and New Year there with my family, it was very beautiful. Then two friends from college came, Cata and Sharon, we stayed together ten days, it was awesome.

After those three weeks, I traveled to Viña del Mar where my friends from all my life are. In Viña I sleept in the house of one friend because I have no family there. There I was like two weeks. Then I went to Curico where my father, my cousins, my grandfathers and my uncles are. There I was two weeks too.

At last I went again to Puerto Varas. I really like to go there because my mother live in the field, and is all very natural, we can plant our own food, go to the lake or stay in peace with no noise. There are a lot of animals and is very peaceful.
