Photo

My favorite photo is the one where I’m in Florence with two friends; Rosario and Florencia. This is a very important photo for me because after this travel I went to live in another city. Not more in Viña del Mar where my friends for all my life were. I traveled with three friends (Catalina, Rosario and Florencia) around Europe because an exchange from the school to Germany. After the travel I went to live in Puerto Varas, where all is gone we new. I really miss my old friends.

I think this photo is beautiful and very funny. It has an awesome background, with the Arno lake and a lot of colorful houses. We are all very happy and laughing. After this photo we went to an ice cream store that is in front of the place where we took the photo. I don’t really remember the flavor of the ice cream that I ate but I remind that it was very expensive.    

Technology

I’m not a big lover of the technologies but if I need to choose a gadget that is important for me it would be my phone. My cell phone was a gift from my dad, it is a Samsung mini 2, white, it have a very ugly protector and is a little broken in the outside. I don’t use my mobile phone all time, really, I have my periods. Sometimes I use it a lot and in other occasions I almost don’t see it. I got my phone the past year, I´m very clueless so I hope that I can have it a lot of time more. It is very useful because there I can call my contacts, use whatsapp, take photos, see the time or see internet pages. It is a good way to be informed too.

Life would be very difficult if I didn’t have my mobile because I´m accustomed to it. And it could be dangerous if I don’t bring my phone with me, because in case of emergency it would be necessary. And it is very practical for the daily life.

My vacation

My last vacation was very nice. At the beginning of my vacation I went to the south, between Osorno and Puerto Varas, next to Puerto Octay with my sister Romina. To visit my mother , my little brother and my big sister. There, I stayed for three weeks, I spent Christmas and New Year there with my family, it was very beautiful. Then two friends from college came, Cata and Sharon, we stayed together ten days, it was awesome.

After those three weeks, I traveled to Viña del Mar where my friends from all my life are. In Viña I sleept in the house of one friend because I have no family there. There I was like two weeks. Then I went to Curico where my father, my cousins, my grandfathers and my uncles are. There I was two weeks too.

At last I went again to Puerto Varas. I really like to go there because my mother live in the field, and is all very natural, we can plant our own food, go to the lake or stay in peace with no noise. There are a lot of animals and is very peaceful.     

In the University

I am currently studying journalism at Universidad de Chile. I like this career because I can make the things I like. I can write, read and travel. The ICEI (the name of the institute from communication and image in my university) is a very good place to study, but it has a little problem of organization.

This semester I have four compulsory subjects, that are: "Análisis de la imagen fija", "Comunicación interpersonal", English and "Taller de crónica y entrevista". The last one is my favorite subject, because there we must write and make interviews to other people.

I’m taking two extracurricular subjects: "Comunicación y Globalización" and "Historia social contemporánea". Both of them are very difficult, but I think that are really necessary to have a good base of information.

I´m not part of any other university activities this year.

I expect from this new academic period to learn new technical stuff about journalism and history.

My name is Tamara Mera Konrad and I´m 20 years old. I live now in Santiago. I came to Santiago from Iquique to study Journalism in Universidad de Chile. I have lived in four cities before; Curico, Viña del Mar, Puerto Varas and Iquique. I like travel and it is a part of my live, for me is bored to live in one part a lot of time.

Now i live with my cousin and my sister, we are accustumed to live together. For me will be very difficult if I go back to live with my mother or my father.I love them but I used to live alone.

I like to read, spent time with my friends, sleep or watch movies. I love to eat, so I make sports to eat all I want.
