My study programme

Some changes that I think that could be made in my study programme are: the amount of extra subjects that we have, some things about the structure of the university building or some methods of the teachers in their way of education.

Let’s go in order! About some subjects that we have in our curriculum I think that are there only to fill some amount of hours, but are not really important for our career. Like we have to have them to fill the five years we have in journalism. Maybe without them we can have one year less of studies like in other countries (Spain, USA, etc).

 For example we have a subjects called “Enfoques latinoamericanos”, that (yes is very interesting) I don´t think that it is really important for our career, it can be an elective but not a subject, in my opinion.    

In second place, I think that the structure of my university is very nice and make a good environment to study, but there are some things that I don´t like. 

For example the calefaction is very bad, when it is winter is very cold inside the classrooms. Another thing is that we don´t have a place for the ICEI to buy cooked food, we have to go to other parts like “Filosofia” or FACSO. And the last thing is that our library is not so good, but I like it like it is, because at last we can speak with each others, I don´t care if it is not so big or if it don´t have very good technology. 

Some teachers in my opinion are not so good, there are some ones that are teaching us because their position and achievements in their careers but their maybe don´t know very well how to teach. But in general I think that we are lucky because we have good teachers.     

     

Despite all the possible negative things that I can found in my study programme in the university, I’m very happy here and the way it works! I think that I don´t really want to be in any other university more than the one I am.
